CyberLink DirectorZone

DirectorZone is a video-editing community site, to download video effects and DVD templates uploaded by users and to share their video editing experience.

Original conceptualized for sharing and downloading contents for CyberLink PowerDirector, my main role in version 1 of the CyberLink DirectorZone was to plan and define the overall information architecture, user scenarios, and find sticky-points with the design director. From there on the design team took over and completed the rest of the interaction and visual designs while I shifted to creating some initial contents for users to download.

CyberLink MediaShow

MediaShow was specially designed to make managing your media virtually effortless. Arranging, fixing, creating polished slideshows and movies, and sharing your photos and videos is fast, fun and easy!

This is another version 1 product I've had the luck to work on with the lead designer at CyberLink. Tasked with initial concepts and exploration I looked at current design trends and did a variety of style explorations which help shape the design style for all CyberLink products for the next 2 years.
 
The team wanted to introduce delightful elements in the UI that users would find handy and joyful to use while appreciating their photo collections. The concept of organizing by "events" instead of just dates was visualized before iPhoto would introduce the same just a few months later.
The final design of MediaShow 1.0 was fully visualized later by the lead designer.

CyberLink Product Tours

Having worked on a series of version 1 products at CyberLink I eventually pitched to the marketing VP on making product tours for all of them so users can get familiarized with their features and functions. Utilizing my skills for Flash, interactive tours were made for a variety of products such as PowerDVD, YouCam, and MediaShow.
 
Most CyberLink products are localized into 10+ different languages thus I eventually created a structure that would allow us to swap screenshots and text of each tour depending on the user's locale dynamically.

Other Products

CyberLink Power2Go is a burning software that rivals Nero in features and ease of use. My role was to design a gadget for Power2Go on Windows Vista. The result is a fun and intuitive gadget that's useful for users who are constantly backing up, making their own mixes, or cloning discs. This is a Flash prototype I built to showcase the design and interaction of the gadget.

Another gadget I've designed was the gadget for CyberLink Live on Windows Vista.  It's a must have for users to access and listen to their tracks without opening additional browsers or software.

CyberLink PowerProducer is your solution for creating stunning DVD and Blu-Ray movie discs. My role was to do a UI overhaul for PowerProducer 4.0 with the latest design patterns and styles of CyberLink. The result is a much cleaner, modern, and pleasant interface for the product.
